Paddington Station, London
In photography, like in anything you do, you need an element of luck. But you need to be quick to see your chance and to seize it, otherwise it's gone forever. This photograph by Stephen Weaver represents one such moment. I love how the presence of the five people echoes the wording of the poster, and how the characters in the poster appear to be approaching them, yet they are completely unaware of this. Another random aspect that helps to make this shot is how the four people directly below the poster are regularly spaced apart, providing symmetry with the poster. And again how the three central people are symmetrically placed in comparison to the image on the poster. I don't think Stephen Weaver could have set the scene up any better if he had tried. All in all this is a great street photo, well seen and captured.
Stephen doesn't limit himself to one particular style or genre of photography, which makes his portfolio fresh and interesting. Please use the link above to see the image on Flickr and take your time to browse through the rest of their work. I'm sure you'll like what you see.
