British Museum / London
Continuing with the theme of London today, here is an iconic building that is one place I always visit whenever I am in town.
This beautiful image of the Great Hall was taken by Sören Gössel. I really like the symmetry of this location and how Sören has managed to darken the left and right sides drawing the viewer into the centre of the frame, where the light is flooding in through the glass roof. In addition, I like how the people in the shot are silhouettes. Their presence gives scale to the building but they remain anonymous. This is one of the best shot of this location I have seen in recent times.
Sören has a limited but varied portfolio on 500px, and I suggest that you use the link above to see the image on 500px and take your time to browse through the rest of his work. I think you'll enjoy what you see.
