A Nikon manager announced during a TV interview that a Full Frame mirrorless camera will hit the streets in Spring 2019. The announcement came during an interview with Japanese TV network NHK. According to the manager, "development is underway, and we expect to bring one to the market by spring next year".
Canon is known to be developing a mirrorless camera as well, that too should come to the market early next year. But is it too little too late for the big two? With many photographers having already made the switch to the Sony Alpha A7R III, the Fujifilm X-T2 or the Lumix G9, they are going to have to go some to take back their share of the market.
