Shooting the Walkie Talkie
This street photo by British photographer Hugh Rawson is simply brilliant. Once in a while life offers photographers the opportunity to capture something different, and this is one of those shots.
I love the symmetry and geometry of the family in the centre of the frame. The way the mother and father echo each other is almost choreographed. And then there is the completely apathetic expression and position of the boy, who has probably been dragged around the city by his "tourist" parents. I'm sure we can all empathise with him. However, despite the boy's obvious torment, this image can't help but bring a smile to our faces. A truly great photograph.
Hugh is an incredible documenter of urban life. I strongly urge you to use the link above to see this image on 500px and take your time to browse through the rest of his work, you absolutely won't regret it.
