A rainy day
When I saw this amazing photograph of a flower by Kim Amazonas, I stopped and said, "Wow!". First of all I like the fact that this image is monochrome and the contrast between the highlights and shadows. Then I love how the water droplets add to the texture of the petals, and to finish I like the sharpness of the shot. You can almost reach out and touch the flower.
Kim is a landscape photographer with a passion for the Amazon rain-forest and its protection. He produces some quite spectacular images and I strongly recommend you use the link above to view this image on Flickr, and to take the time to browse through his other works. They could make you see the world through new eyes.
