The Mont Saint Michel is probably one of the most photographed French locations outside of Paris. I like this shot of it by Olga Marchal for various reasons. The first being the perspective she has chosen; I have never seen it taken from this location before, the way it appears to float on top of what I think is a field of maize is brilliant. As the title suggests there is a light fog too which gives atmosphere to the image, and the fact that Olga has made the shot black and white creates an ethereal feel to the photograph. A really lovely shot I would happy have on a wall in my home.
Olga only has a limited portfolio on 500px, but you can see from the photographs on there that she has a keen eye for composition, especially when it comes to the more architectural images.
