As a Londoner I have a soft spot for anything that depicts my city, and now that I live abroad I feel quite homesick whenever I see a beautiful image of a place I remember well. This photo of Baker Street underground station by Matt Bliss really twanged the old heart strings.
I love the light and symmetry of this image. The 1/30sec shutter speed was just right to capture a hint of movement in the man on the left, which is enough to give some life to what would be an otherwise static scene. Well seen and well captured.
Matt is a British photographer who takes some beautiful urban photographs. Please use the link above to see this image on 500px and take your time to browse through the rest of his work.
