A couple of days ago I mentioned in the comments of the Photo of the Day that people never look up when they are walking, but the same goes for looking down. Or rather, if people do look down at their feet, they don't register what they are seeing. And it is for this reason that I was attracted to this photograph by Helen Etchells. I really like its simplicity, as well as the fact that Helen didn't make this black and white, thereby keeping the warm tones and giving us the sense of a hot summer's day at the sea. A really well spotted and taken shot.
Helen is a young photographer with a good eye for detail and composition. Her forte is that she doesn't limit herself to just one style of photography. I strongly recommend that you use the link above to see this image on Flickr and take your time to browse through the rest of her work, I'm sure you'll like what you see.
