Lincoln's Inn Chapel Undercroft
The current Lincoln's Inn chapel was built between 1620 and 1623 by Inigo Jones on this fan-vaulted undercroft. I have seen a number of photographs of the undercroft, but this image by British photographer David Skinner really stands out in my opinion. First of all, I like how it is black and white. The contrast brings out the texture of the stone so much more. I also like the symmetry and the framing which lead you on a visual journey through the undercroft and out the other side. A great photograph!
David, I would say, is an urban photographer, but not one who is afraid to experiment. I suggest you use the link above to see this image on 500px and take your time to browse through the rest of his work. I'm sure you'll like it.
